The Curraha/St.Vincents Ladies got their League campaign off to a winning start, as they defeated Dunderry in their opening game of the 2026 season.
Imogen Horgan got the hosts off toa great start, as she scored 1-1 in the opening minutes. Niamh Byrne extended the lead with a well taken point, followed up by a long range Roisin O'Connor free. Ciara Morgan opened her account soon after with a good point form the 21, and Kirsty Greene was next to get on the scoresheet after doing well to beat 2 defenders. Morgan extended the lead further with a close range free kick, with O'Connor adding her 2nd with a well taken effort following good approach play from Phoebe Horgan. Morgan hit the back of the net from the penalty spot after she had been taken out with a late tackle after a great run through the defence. Carly Parsons was called into action with 2 saves in quick succession near the end of the half, the second of which was a great block from close range. Kirsty Greene finished off the scoring for the half, finishing well after another strong run.

Katie Tuite opened the scoring in the 2nd half with a well taken point, and this was quickly followed up by another goal by Imogen Horgan following a great pass from Katelyn McMahon. O'Connor was on target from range again following good work by Tuite and Greene. Imogen Horgan then completed her hat-trick after been put through by O'Connor. Greene's direct running was causing problems for the Dunderry defence throughout the game, and she pointed again with 10 minutes left to play. Niamh Byrne was next up to register her 2nd point of the game, with Greene completing the scoring as she notched another 1-1 in the closing minutes to bring her total to 1-4.
