The end of May marks the completion of our GAA Healthy Club Portal work. We want to celebrate the hard work put in by all club members and individuals around the area for the tremendous work they have done since the very beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately due to the current situation we cannot celebrate in the pitch today but hopefully we can all soon meet and celebrate all that is good about Curraha GAA club.

In the absence of games, the spirit of Curraha GAA club was still very much alive. From lockdown baking competitions and funny videos to socially distanced tidy towns clean up days around the area as well as part taking in the Soloathon for ‘A Better Life for Livie’ Campaign back in 2020. We were also overwhelmed with the uptake from people of all ages for the Irish Life Steps challenge.

As well as that we launched our Smoke Free Club signs so that Curraha GAA club is now a Smoke Free zone. Finally the club has never looked in better shape to have everyone back training and that would not have been possible without all the volunteers who put in a huge drive to have the pitch and facilities ready for the commencement of games.

We would like to thank each and everyone of you for doing your part. We hope that players, coaches and everyone involved has enjoyed being back to the pitch for training and long may it continue. We will be back to the sidelines cheering on all the Curraha teams very soon and maybe then we can thank everyone then with a cup of tea and bun after the game.

Until then stay safe and Hon the Ha.
